ABSTRACT

Heartfulness (HFN) is a simple practical method to experience heart’s unlimited resources. It includes guided relaxation, and a meditation technique with yogic transmission. Heartful Institute has developed a HeartsApp to practice HFN and is illustrated here. This app can be downloaded from Heartfulness.org without any charge and is free to use 24 hours/ 7 days all over the globe. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, the application of meditation and HeartsApp has increased multifold. Just like, one can describe the taste of mango only by eating;one knows the effect of meditation with transmission by practicing. Key features including, Meditation with a trainer, Guided practice with introductory sessions, Master classes with Daaji (Heartfulness global Guide) and Lifestyle in a Heartfulness way are given in this study. © IEOM Society International.

ABSTRACT

Background: Wegener's granulomatosis (Granulomatosis with polyangiitis) is a rare systemic autoimmune disease of unknown etiology characterised by triad of necrotising granulomatous inflammation of upper and lower respiratory tract, glomerulonephritis, and disseminated vasculitis. Case Study: A 50 year old female presented with complaints of running nose since last 8 months. Patient also had low grade fever, generalised body pain, productive cough, shortness of breath on exertion, pedal oedema for last 2 months. She had an 2-3 episodes of blood in sputum 15 days back. On examination saddle nose found. HRCT chest shows multiple cavitating nodules with consolidation. Lab findings shows raised ESR, CRP, COVID RT PCR negative and positive C-ANCA (Anti neutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody), red blood cell casts, and albumin present in urine. Sputum for AFB negative. Patient discharged on corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide and advised for regular follow up. Discussion: Wegener's granulomatosis is an antineutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody associated small vessel vasculitis. Prevalence of this disease varies from 3/1,00,000 to 16/1,00,000. Typically this involve the lungs and kidneys. It can be of generalised severe form or localised limited form. Our patient clinical course, CT findings and his strongly positive C-ANCA were considered diagnostic of wegener's granulomatosis. Treatment include corticosteroids and immunosuppressants. Conclusion: The early diagnosis and prompt treatment of multisystem disorder is necessary to prevent complication such as diffuse alveolar haemorrhage CT is the imaging modality of choice for diagnosis, surveillance and follow up in patients with wegener's granulomatosis.

ABSTRACT

Background: COVID-19 is the ongoing pandemic that is adversely affecting millions of individuals all over the planet. Many changes have been done in course of treatment of COVID-19 to rectify the flaws. Mutations can pose serious threat and constant monitoring is needed. Summary: Mutations are the inevitable phenomenon shown by the virus. Novel coronavirus has reported several strains which has been originated from the original strain which was reported from the Chinese's province of Hubei. Mutations pose serious risks to the containment measures of the pandemic. Genome sequencing is used to identify the new strain of the virus. Treatments like HCQ, convalescent plasma therapy, Remdesivir etc. have become redundant and do more harm than good. Selective usage, if necessary, can be done to ensure less harms. Monoclonal antibody therapy is being said to be the next big thing in the treatment of COVID-19. Vaccination is currently the most useful tool available to mitigate the spread of the disease. Conclusion: More genome sequencing should be done to ensure the identification of each and every strain that is being roaming with humans all over the world. Even distribution of the vaccines can help to eliminate the virus from the human life and prevent further mutations.

ABSTRACT

Heartfulness (HFN) is a simple practical method to experience heart’s unlimited resources. It includes guided relaxation, and a meditation technique with yogic transmission. Heartful Institute has developed a HeartsApp to practice HFN and is illustrated in [1]. This app can be downloaded from Heartfulness.org without any cost and is free to use 24 hours/ 7 days all over the world. Since the Covid-19 outbreak, the application of meditation and HeartsApp has increased multifold. One can easily learn how to meditate and experience the effect of transmission. This article shows some simple illustrations of, “You take one step and He takes 10 steps”, in honest and sincere efforts for accomplishing daily goals. Key features including, Meditation with a trainer, Guided practice with introductory sessions, Master classes and Lifstyle in a Heartfulness way are given www.heartfulness.org and [2]. Some examples of effectiveness of meditation are given. These include results of taking steps with faith and devotion given below: 1. Open house in Mandi, HP, India on May 15, 2015 2.
